Spider Beginnings - Ghost Tan Sands

"Spider Beginnings is a design I created with the intention to create a pattern collage of a spider known as the Southern House Spider Kukulcania Hibernalis. These spiders have evolved with us and now prefer to create their homes on the outside of human dwellings, so we have developed a mutually beneficial co-habitation of sorts. They take care of unwanted pests and we provide a safe place for them to live. Thus the pattern itself is about balance and relationships and the home. It’s about living in harmony with our environments and with those whom we share it with."
