Pegasus is a winged horse, born from the blood of Medusa. The Greeks began adding Pegasus to their coins as early as the 6th century BC. Struck by hand from a simple punch, every ancient coin was different from the next. This beautifully detailed and tiny coin was a "trihemiobol," an ancient Greek currency denomination for a 1/4 drachma. The pendant is cast in 10k gold.
